Abstract |
Introduction
The program was designed so that the transplant clinicians and their patients can interact regularly. This is likely to be of great benefit to patients who live in rural areas or at some distance from their transplant practitioners.
The doctor or patients are issued a unique password to access the site on first visiting the site. Once a doctor has a password, he will be able to access only his patients' data.
A patient on visiting the site, has to give the name of the doctor from whom he/she is receiving treatment. Every patient has to feed essential data (e-mail id, address etc.) only once for storing them in his/her record. All the above precautions have been taken for your data's confidentiality. None of the patient information would be accessible to others.
Objectives
1. Transplant / Kidney failure patients can feed in their old and current status.
2. Transplant / Kidney failure patients can feed in their investigation details.
3. If some of the entered details are abnormal, an alert message will be flashed asking you to consult a doctor immediately.
4. Once all the details are fed, an e-mail is automatically generated to convey the information to the transplant doctors.
5. Only the doctor chosen by the patinet, can look atthe briefings.
This programme has been in use in India for the past two years by some of the clinicians both in India and Abraod. There is no charge to use this programme and has been done more for community service. |
