Guidelines
for Scientific Session
The
Delegates will be doctors, healthcare professionals, IT Professionals,
Regulators and Students. Our aim should be to give them the best
scientific meet. Our theme is bridging the gap between IT and Healthcare.
Considering all these, I have framed guidelines for the presenters in the
scientific sessions.
1. All presentations are in
single hall. There will be no parallel sessions.
2. The presentations are
for 10 or 15 minutes.
3. Computer and Double LCD
projections will be available.
4. The speaker should
ensure that the presentation is simple, easily
understandable.
5. There should be a take
home message.
6. The sessions and the
presenters should address all the participants in the healthcare. This
would mean the large corporate hospitals, large government hospitals,
Nursing Homes, Individual doctors and primary care centers. Let us make
the sessions interesting to all and not focus only on the big hospitals.
7. We have to keep the
time. Both in terms of sessions and the speaker’s time.
8. There should be
sufficient time for discussion for each paper or in the group
9. Discussions should
address the issues and should give take home message and concrete
solutions.
10. Audience should be
encouraged to participate actively and get involved in the discussions.
11. Role of Coordinators
and Chairpersons for the sessions:
- Introduce the topic
- Introduce the
speaker
- Responsible for time
management
- Encourage audience
participation
- Give conclusion
remarks
